Artist Books
Denise has been creating artist’s books since the late 1980s, treating the medium as a site for both conceptual and physical experimentation. By manipulating the book’s materiality—through cutting, layering, and the use of tactile or unconventional surfaces—she transforms the archival object into a performative experience.
Her works are represented in major international collections, including the Victoria & Albert Museum, Tate Britain, Yale University, National Gallery of Canada, and Art Gallery of Ontario. Her projects are cited in key historical surveys of the medium (see below) and remain a subject of sustained interest for researchers and students of the form.
